ddc

Please tell us a bit about yourself.

I’m Daniel de Culla, born in 1955 in Vallelado (Segovia, Spain). When I was one year old, my parents will move to Madrid. I studied for school teacher and philosopher. After quitting studies, I spent four years holiday working. Two years in the Channel Island (Guernsey, Victor Hugo’s exile) and Jersey, working as a night porter and second chef from Kitchen. Two years, traveling and working in Brussels, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Paris, Clermont Ferrand, and Toulouse). I have an eternal fiancé and a daughter, very pretty. I am a B.A. Bachelor of Art, Poet and Writer, Photographer and Hand drawer. Editor and Director of the Gallo Tricolor Review, and Robespierre Review Member of the Spanish Writers Association; Earthly Writers International Caucus, Poets of the World, and many more. I’ve participated in Festivals of Poetry and Theater in Burgos, Madrid, Berlin Minden, Hannover, and Genève; and exposed in many galleries from Madrid, Burgos, London, and Amsterdam. I’ moving between North Hollywood, Madrid and Burgos. I’ve more than 100 books published, and collaborate in many Reviews and Magazines. I’m very young, but with a pile of years, and happy.

When you create, what inspires you?

What inspires me creating is each day, each an is, each a space scape for human being, and to be fed up with the Hee-Haw Society. I hate bad people that score off people. Third World, Surreal, bare bones. I don’t like to make bones about, and exist in alternating relationship to each other. Anything can go down: poems, ideas, dreams, actual events. Life is a rug with so many colors and textures, to me.

Tell us about the specific inspiration behind one or each of your accepted pieces.

Tapestry of dancing and Love. Making a dance takes two lives, many lives. Knowledge of what deer wishes, of hunting, which is ancestry, song, singing deer again, the powerful on dancing dilating the nostril and quickening the heart, written with berry juice, on a corn tortilla of love.

What is your medium of choice? Why?

Experience and Love. Senses with the multiple voices human, voices animal, voices plant, voice life of Earth. It’s so because we are of a Time-Sexual wherein all species has been joined to the Wo/Man of Homo sapiens, birthing now, dancing to All Life.

How did you first discover your love for creating?

Meeting me with the great Poets and Writers, like Joyce’s Ulysses; Mendel’s Moby Dick, H.P. Lovecraft’ Necronomicon; the Greek true Classics, and literates immortals as Timothy Leary, Neal Wilgus, Camden Benares, and Ken Kesey, Robert Maher and Lyn Lifshin.

fēlan is old English for feel. What makes you feel envy?

I’m envious of nobody. My drawings and dreaming found in a number of places. I like sincere people and the fine and original Journals as a Kline’s Sky; and suffer with Luisa Pasamanik’s The Exiled Angel.

Please feel free to add anything else you think is relevant.

All of we generate a planet community of solitudes as John Boland says in his “Generating a Planet Space-Scape for Humans”. Difficulties and joys are multiple. But to receive fine mails and collaborate with materials have a great sense as have a great joy, coming to Act, to illustrate the scintilla of Life.
